The AI Avalanche

Humans, by default, think and sometimes overthink about the future, which pushes them down the spiral, making the present seem like another avalanche. The recent overthinking people have been doing is whether AI is going to take over them. And the answer is no, AI is not going to gobble up the job; however, people who know how to use AI will for sure take over you.

AI is not a replacement for humans’ creativity, for sure. It can never be. Here’s a fun fact, if you think about it, AI was always there subconsciously. The first handheld calculator was invented in 1972, and I am sure it made the lives of mathematicians and accountants miserable. Calculating skills are a mathematician’s magic wand. But what happens when this magic wand is accessible to everyone? Did mathematicians fall from grace afterward? We all know the answer. Calculators started helping these people more than ever. AI is merely a manual, the use of which depends from person to person.

We all go through this shared experience where we grabbed more bites of that sinful brownie than required. Later we repented and swore not to even look at it. But did we all go on a diet the very next day? No, we did not. We know all the healthy food alternatives available in the market, and yet we go for the cheesiest pizzas, the sweetest cakes, and the spiciest cuisines. It is because healthy eating depends on the will, and the placebo effect doesn’t work there. The way it won’t work with AI.

In the same way, the internet, which was invented to help armies during the war, is now being used in every household. Does it in any way diminish the power of the internet? Or the people using it? AI has got the same flavor; the only difference remains in the fact of who uses it and HOW they use it.

Originally, the internet was made to help armies during the war, but a quick search ‘Most searched celebrity of 2012’ could give creators an insight into how people with potential can use AI differently than those who possess lesser potential. I am simply trying to say it takes a few seconds to know the real color of the mirror. The point is, how many of you went and searched for it?

We live in a world where creating hype is a common phenomenon, and even common is people falling into the trap of believing all the reasons for a product being hyped about.

The speed with which AI is generating content is shattering so many hearts. But one thing that I feel could be applied in this case is that speed might thrill or even scare the bejesus out of creators; the best part is the speed of answers possess lesser importance than the right sense of questioning. The speedy answer generated by AI requires human editing and creativity.

Here are some ways how AI might be of help to the creators:

Artificial intelligence can help you find new ways to use your creations in other media–like movies or books- by giving you suggestions about where to take them next.

AI can also help with marketing your work by recommending where and how best to promote it online or in other media outlets.

Artificial intelligence can help creators in a number of ways.

AI can help you improve your product by creating new features, improving the design of your products and services, or even helping you create new ones.

It can also help you get more customers by providing insights into what people want and need, which will allow you to develop products that meet those needs.

If you’re trying to grow your business or brand, artificial intelligence can help by suggesting new strategies that will increase revenue and reduce costs.

Blast from the past

Talking about the past, 30 years back, I saw young and curious people who’d love to gather information, be it via writing letters or finding pieces of details in libraries when less than 10% of people had access to libraries. Even today, these people are gathering the needed information, and here I am, scrolling reels. The same goes for AI; it is a boon for people who really know how AI can help them, who are curious about AI and want to embrace it rather than shooing it away, thinking it won’t come for them. AI is coming for all of us with equal impact; it is up to you whether to give it a warm hug or be squashed under someone who gives AI a warm hug.

The Ironman effect

Ironman is not Ironman because of his suit but due to his strong will to save the universe. Think of AI more like the iron man’s suit, how it recharges his superpowers, and how it is more of an assistive suit. Creators who think of AI as more of a disruption will have to suffer in the future due to sheer ignorance of its capability.
